![]() I still record with PT10.3.10/Mt.Lion, not even a hiccup. I think I'm going backwards lol.Ĭheers to "vintage" OS lol.I'm with you, old thread back to life. Out of nostalgia I'm going to record some stuff in that system as well. Windows XP with Protools M-power 7.3 It was fantastic hearing old sessions that sound just fine. I will NEVER upgrade protools higher than 12.4 ever ever ever ever.Īnd then from more kicks and more fun, I pulled my very old 2004 computer with. Upgraded the processor, RAM, SSD drive and it works just fine. And since I love upgrading computers and using old stuff that can still make great music, I started started setting it up as a back up with ML10.8.5 and PT10. (I have just a couple of plugins I use are not cross compatible).Īnd moreover, a friend gave me an old 2006 mac pro. I will use Mojave for fun, but for recording I will continue with PT10 with Mountain Lion and PT12 with Yosemite. Pro tools 12.4 actually works fine with Mojave, but there is just something about the response and stability with older OSx. I stayed there for ever until recently I gave the cool dark mode Mojave a chance. I started with Mountain Lion, then I upgraded to Pro tools 12.4 with Yosemite. ![]() I have a hackintosh I built back in 2013. It was all so stable and cozy with what I use that I felt in love with it again. For kicks and fun I went back to my good old Mountain Lion 10.8.5 install with Pro tools 10.3.10 about 2 weeks ago. Year old threat about old stuff, I like it.
